I helped out at the Junior League of Troy booth at the Troy Victorian Stroll.
The Junior League of Troy gave out juice and sweets to children and helped them make a Holiday craft - an ornament for their Christmas tree!

Yes, it was!
DeleteHow fun to see some people dressed up! I love your hat. I think it's great that you incorporate such fantastic hats into your daily life. I bet you got a lot of wonderful comments on it. Is it a vintage hat?

Joanna, I did! It is not vintage, it is made in the USA to resemble a Victorian style of hat.
DeleteWay to get into the spirit! You look great. :)
ReplyDeleteWowee what a hat, I adore it!
ReplyDeleteThe Victorian hat is a true piece of art and you wear it well!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThat hat is the sort of topper that would stop me dead in my tracks and cause me to do a double take if I saw you (or anyone) sporting it in person. It's enchantingly gorgeous and must garner so many compliments when you wear it.

Ivana, thank you. Children really loved making ornaments from yarn and popsicle sticks! There were several very creative efforts.

DeleteI love that hat. OMG I think I need that hat. I have no idea what I would wear it too but it is just too fantastic not to own!

Margaret, I agree. I generally do not purchase hats that are just for fun. This hat is appropriate for the Victorian era events we have in my part of Upstate New York in the Christmas season.
DeleteLovely post my dear, you look so pretty!:)
ReplyDeleteLaura, thank you!
DeleteIt must have been great to help the kids! I wish I had time to do more voluntary work :( college is SO hectic and busy though :)

Nikki, I'd love to put a photo of your hat on my blog, too!
DeleteVictorian's sure knew how to dress for the cold (pointing to the couple in the crowd scene!) Wish you lived closer, I'd drag you and one of your hats to our Dickens Dinner ... you'd look perfect.
