How to Pose for a Photograph

If you wear a hat and a pretty dress to a public event, chances are you will be asked to pose for a photo. With the 150th anniversary of the Saratoga Racecourse coming up this summer, its a great time to learn a few tips on looking your best for the camera. FabSugar Fashion Reporter Allison McNamara shares her tips on how to pose for standing, sitting and closeup photos in the video 'How to Look Good in Pictures - Posing Tips - Fashion How To.'

  2. How exciting that you've been asked to pose for pictures at public events. I had that happen several times at a local classic car show last year, but we don't have many big events around here, so I think that's been the only time (or at least the only time it happened more than once on the same day). I love that wearing a beautiful hat triggers people to ask for your photo, Kathleen - you always look so elegant and beautiful wherever you go.

    1. I know that I also get a lot of furtive photos taken of me as well. I'm friendly - just ask to take a picture! The funniest experience I've had was in India. A family asked me to take a photo. I said yes, and expected them to hand me their camera so I could capture them all together. Instead, they wanted to take a picture with ME!

  6. Oh, I must watch this .. lol. Out of the 20+ pics that I may take for a blog, maybe .. one or two are ok to post. So I'll look forward to watching this video when I get home ;-)

  9. Tuck those hips! Love it:) I agree with the 3/4 view. Interesting about the tongue to the mouth. I'll have to try that one and see if I see a difference. Great video to watch, thanks for sharing.
