Black Watch Plaid and Cloche Hat for Christmas

 Black Watch for Christmas

by Kathleen Lisson

I wore a plaid dress and blazer to the Polly's Cottage Christmas Party at Vanderheyden Hall. Every year, the Junior League of Troy brings presents to the girls who live at Polly's Cottage.

  6. What pretty ladies, and you, prettier than ever. Black Watch is great to wear ... broody and romantic for a tartan. They are sometimes so unrelentingly merry and jovial! Elegant for winter, as you show.
And what a great project. I hope all involved, on both sides of the gift-box, enjoyed the process!
    Have a brilliant 2014!

  7. That dress is timelessly beautiful. I love the 1940s feel that it conveys - in fact, it reminds me a bit of similar styles that Queen Elizabeth and her sister, Princess Margaret, wore as young ladies during that decade.
